Cowboy Bud's Request

To my friends and family
Gathered here today,
I'm a proud and thankful cowboy
Who has just passed away.

From Michigan to the wild, wild west,
I've worked to build my dreams ~
From fabing steel and building supplies;
I've accomplished many things

From early mornings, I rode hard
My sweat was worth the wear ~
Utica, Pontiac, Brighton and more,
Were built with labor and care

I've seen my country's very best ~
The open plains, the mountains high,
Eagles soaring, bison roaming ~
The wonders of the Big Sky.

Remember me, when you do,
As one with a life worthwhile.
I've traveled the trail that was
destined for me ~
Remember me with a smile.
